Given that pulls the air, the amount of material that we receive daily and the low quality of what we read, to say the least ... we will never tire of repeating that writing is hard ... very hard. Also add that writing does not become 'star', except in very special circumstances. The problem is that those who become very popular in almost all cases, not writing. But this is another problem. Or maybe the problem. But it is not what interests us here now.
Another premise is that we are and what interests us.
We are a small publishing house dedicated exclusively to art, which means testing and research aimed at the social (and not aimed at themselves). So if you look for immediate and highly visible, probably are not the publishers who are for you.
As for what interests us, almost all of our time, our energies and our resources are devoted to interdisciplinary work. To better understand what we mean, please read what we wrote to the menu item prologue .
We prefer the works in which interdisciplinary exchange and multilingualism are the protagonists of avant-garde research and where it is always possible to highlight the diversity of expression. On these texts, the publisher pays the utmost attention and investment, pointing to involvement of multiple authors, in order to allow better exchange disciplinary and greater adherence to the facets of reality.
Just as an example, we are in great writing that you do not redo a kind, maybe starting from scientific insights (mathematics, anthropology, architecture, physics, ...) or are already the result of processing many hands more powers .
For the publication of these texts, the publisher does not seek any assistance for the publication to the author, consistent with the publishing program and the availability of investment.
In contrast, however, the spread of un'imperante speculation against the many Italian writers who, for pleasure or passion, would love to write and see published, the publisher has chosen to play the game.
So here a new series for young writers, both prose and poetry, to satisfy the dreams of many, without depleting the pockets.
We have once again chosen an unusual way, we know, but in many write to us and we feel the urge to give voice to these authors, although they have no plan or avanguardistic texts but we propose that we consider interesting and therefore worthy of publication . They are real men, with needs and dreams, we'd like to give a voice, without making editorial in the exploitation, so that our country is heading in the same lively pace for all other exploitations.
For this reason we omit the highest quality research nell'impaginazione, graphics and style essential characteristics of our entire catalog, requiring a contribution towards the cost of publication, and then investing simultaneously the hope of moderation in market prices.
Just to give you an economic, assuming the completion of a book in 1000 copies (at least for us it makes no sense) with the following characteristics:
- 120 pages printed in two colors on matt paper gr. 170,
- 4-color cover printed on matt paper gr. 300,
- matte lamination,
- box stitched paperback with flaps,
ask a contribution of € 3,000 + VAT 4% less than costs alone letterpress.
Urging the publishers to invite you to check with other much more important (they could not only provide greater visibility but also compensation for the publication, as it should be in a normal world).
But once your writing (although not falling into what we call 'advanced') were to our liking, if you choose to try to work with us, these are the aspects that set us apart:
- great attention to details and implementation consistent with our books in the catalog;
- all copies that the author wishes to him (but more copies will be handed means greater possibility of presence in libraries);
- serious distribution (compared to what is happening daily, which is a disaster because the books are in the basement of the library, at best) assigned to Russia Representations Editorials with which we have a good relationship;
- presence in the catalog of books for years (and usually the big publishing houses if the book 'wrong' after 6 months to send pulping unsold copies);
- recognition agreement with the percentages of sales to the author.
